On the obverse of the coin there is a small Sovereign Coat of Arms of Ukraine, written in inscription NATIONAL BANK OF UKRAINE. The sharpened rose ornament depicts a khachkar (stone-rest), which is located on the territory of the monastery, at the bottom - the river of the coin - 2009 and the denomination of the coin - TEN HRYVNI. On the reverse of the coin the former monastery is depicted and the inscriptions are placed: OLD CRIMEA/VIRMENSKY MONASTERY XIV century (left-handed) and SURB KHACH (right-handed).
