On the obverse of the coin there is a small State Coat of Arms of Ukraine, written in inscription NATIONAL BANK OF UKRAINE, the denomination on the bottom is 2/HRYVNIYA, the logo of the Mint of the National Bank of Ukraine, left hand - the direction of the 2010 coin is depicted in the searchlight of the La-7 aircraft (tail number 27), which was flown by I.M. Kozhedub. The reverse of the coin depicts a portrait of Ivan Kozhedub (left-handed) on the back of a stylized cast field with a fly, under the inscription: IVAN/KOZHEDUB/ 1920/1991.
