The Odessa film studio of feature films was organized in 1919 on the basis of several private productions (“Mirograph” (1907), “Mizrakh” (1914), K. Borisov’s film factory and D. Kharitonov’s film factory). At the film studio, O. Dovzhenko (films “Zvenigora”, “Arsenal”), working with L. Kurbas (“Swedish Syrnik”), artist and director I. Kavaleridze (“Evil”), the creative work of K. Muratova, was performed here by actors M. Zankovetska, N. Uzhviy, G. Yura and many others. Odessa Film Studio is a favorite place of creativity for many famous directors. More than 300 films were shot at the film studio, over 1,500 sets were created for popular films, including “The Relationship to the Chateau d'If”, “The place of the castle cannot be changed”, “U the jokes of Captain Grant”, “Ten Little Indians”, “The Green Van”, “D’Artagnan and the Three Musketeers” and others.
