Author of over 100 tales, including the poem `Zhurba` (`The mountain stands tall'), set to music by M. Lisenko, born and enlightened in Poltava region. Beginning in 1863, L. Glibov’s works began to come out in large numbers. The obverse of the coin depicts the small State Emblem of Ukraine, the inscriptions: 2002, UKRAINE, 2, HRYVNI and the heroes of the story “Music”, the logo of the Mint of the National Bank of Ukraine is placed. On the reverse of the coin there is an explanatory portrait of Glibov at a table with a pen at his hand, along the coin’s face there is an inscription: LEONID GLIBOV (right-handed) and the fates of life 1827-1893 (left-handed).
