The obverse of the coin depicts a golden star – a traditional attribute associated with the Gospel legend about Christ, in the center of which is placed the small State Coat of Arms of Ukraine, and above it the river of the coin’s carving - 2002; in a sharp stylized baroque ornament there is an inscription: UKRAINE, 5 HRYVEN, and the logo of the Mint of the National Bank of Ukraine. The reverse of the coin depicts a traditional Christmastide scene - a festive carol flock, in the center of which there is a band with a golden mirror, and on the stake there are inscriptions: HOLY DAY (left-handed), CHRIST (right-handed).
