700 years of the first letter riddle about the city of Lokhvitsa Dedicated to the ancient city with a rich history, located in the Poltava region on the Lokhvitsa River, first mentioned in historical sources in 1320 as an ancient Russian settlement in the Pereyaslav land. In the middle of the 17th century, the city received Magdeburg rights and a coat of arms. During the national liberation struggle of the Ukrainian people, the Lokhvitsa Cossack hundred as part of the army of B. Khmelnitsky took part in many battles. On the obverse of the coin, at the top is the small State Coat of Arms of Ukraine, under which is the year of minting the coin "2020"; in a square on a mirror background is depicted the coat of arms of the city, as if reflected in water, and the vertical inscriptions "UKRAINE" (to the left of the coat of arms), denomination - "5 HRYVNIA" (to the right of the coat of arms), around the square with the coat of arms is a decorative ornament; The logo of the NBU Mint was added to the lower left corner of the square. Misto Slov'yansk

Серія: Стародавні міста України Присвячена місту, розташованому на р. Казенний Торець, біля Торських соляних озер. Історія майбутнього міста починалася здавна, коли ще ця територія належала до Дикого поля. У 1645 році на переправі через ріку було споруджено “острожек”, пізніше – засновано місто-фортецю (до 1784 року – Тор, Соляний), яке до кінця ХVІІІ ст. перетворилося на повітове місто, куди на торги з’їжджалися купці з усієї Слобідської України. Розвиток міста історично пов’язаний із сольовим промислом – видобутком солі та лікуванням пацієнтів солоною водою і цілющими грязями. Сучасне місто Слов’янськ є одним із символів в українській боротьбі за повернення окупованих територій, втрачених унаслідок російської агресії 2014 року.
