The Black and Azov Seas play an important role in preserving the region's bio-responsibility, maintaining environmental sustainability and ensuring the economic stability of the state. Among the rich fish in this water are the sea crayfish (Diogenes pugilator) and the round goby (Neogobius melanostomus) - species that serve as bioindicators of the marine environment and are important elements of marine ecosystems. With this set of two commemorative coins, the National Bank of Ukraine intends to pay attention to the problem of saving the seas, highlight the responsibility of humanity for the protection of natural resources and emphasize the importance of marine life in formed ecosystem of Ukraine. On the obverse of the coin, dedicated to the Sea of Azov, in the center of the composition there is a stylized outline of the Sea of Azov with the adjacent territory of Ukraine, with inscriptions in relief horizontal lines that represent sea hulls. Ugor right-handed is painted with a small State Coat of Arms of Ukraine, under which the river karbuvannia is written horizontally - 2025, and vertically - UKRAINE is written. At the bottom of the coin there is a denomination 5 with a graphic sign of the hryvnia and the logo of the Banknote and Mint of the National Bank of Ukraine. At the bottom of the composition there is an inscription: THE SEA OF AZOV and THE SEA OF AZOV. The reverse of the coin depicts two rounded stones (an element of decoration - a colored circle) in a natural environment - on a soft-mushy bottom in the middle of rocky gullies and watery vegetation. A clutch of eggs is depicted in the foreground, which emphasizes the reproductive function of the species and its ecological significance. The eel is marked with the inscription BICHOK-KRUGLYAK, and below – NEOGOBIUS MELANOSTOMUS. On the obverse of the coin dedicated to the Black Sea, a stylized outline of the Black Sea with the adjacent territory of Ukraine is depicted, depicted in relief horizontal lines of various doves, which represent seamen hvili. In the right hand, the small State Coat of Arms of Ukraine is placed, under which is written UKRAINE. At the bottom, in the center, there is a denomination - 5 with a graphic sign of the hryvnia, the river of the coin - 2025, as well as the logo of the Banknote and Mint of the National Bank of Ukraine. At the bottom of the composition there is an inscription in letters: BLACK SEA and THE BLACK SEA. The reverse of the coin depicts a crayfish (an element of decoration - a colored druk) in a typical biotope - on a rocky bottom with turtles and mushes, which are typical for the coastal zone of the Black Sea.
